Grab the latest release for your platform:
Download the .dmg from GitHub Releases.Open the DMG and drag Ori to your Applications folder. Launch from Launchpad or Spotlight.
Ori supports both Intel (x64) and Apple Silicon (arm64) Macs.

First launch

When you open Ori for the first time, a 4-step onboarding wizard guides you through setup:
  1. Welcome — Meet Ori and see what it can do
  2. Connect a provider — Add your API key (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google)
  3. Feature tour — Quick overview of memory, computer use, scheduled tasks
  4. Ready — Essential keyboard shortcuts and starter prompts
Don’t have an API key? You can skip this step and use Ollama for fully offline, free AI — no account needed.

After install

Ori lives in your system tray (menu bar on macOS). It’s always running in the background, ready when you need it.
  • Press ⌥ Space from any app to summon Ori as a floating overlay
  • Click the tray icon to open the full window
  • Ori checks for updates automatically and prompts you when one is ready
