Download

Grab the latest release for your platform:
Download the .dmg from GitHub Releases.Open the DMG and drag OpenOri to your Applications folder. Launch from Launchpad or Spotlight.
OpenOri supports both Intel (x64) and Apple Silicon (arm64) Macs.

First launch

When you open OpenOri for the first time, a 4-step onboarding wizard guides you through setup:
  1. Welcome — Meet OpenOri and see what it can do
  2. Connect a provider — Add your API key (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google)
  3. Feature tour — Quick overview of memory, computer use, scheduled tasks
  4. Ready — Essential keyboard shortcuts and starter prompts
Don’t have an API key? You can skip this step and use Ollama for fully offline, free AI — no account needed.

After install

OpenOri lives in your system tray (menu bar on macOS). It’s always running in the background, ready when you need it.
  • Press ⌥ Space from any app to summon OpenOri as a floating overlay
  • Click the tray icon to open the full window
  • OpenOri checks for updates automatically and prompts you when one is ready

If you plan to use Ollama for local models, you’ll need at least 8 GB RAM and a GPU with 6 GB+ VRAM for good performance.
